April 2008 Squat Action Days: Short Info from Vienna, Friday, 11. April, 9pm

In Vienna a demonstration for autonomous spaces took place on Friday, 11. April 2008. Some 300 people participated. After the demonstration a wagenburg party started in Arsenalstrasse, Arsenalobject 6, 3rd district in Vienna.

Some 200 people came there after the demonstration, which endet in a park near the South Railway Station.

The party started with soundsystems and some 200 people and few police. Owner of the building is Telekom Austria. Their lawyer wanted an eviction of the areal. But the partysquatters agreed with the police to stay until tomorrow, Saturday 1pm.

Now, Friday, 9pm, their is a good spirit. The people will stay until tomorrow after a press conference which is stated on noontime Saturday, April 12, 2008.

the wagenburg-party which started after the demonstration on friday on a squatted area in vienna was finished on saturday, april 12, 1pm without problems. but after the police stopped and controlled some of the cars when they had left the squatted areal.
